I am having some issues getting the facet chart to use different colors the way I want.
If you look at the current state of this plunker you see the end goal of what I'm looking for when in a facet chart of type "columns".
I am looking for each facet to have one color, with a total count. The facets are not broken down further by any other category.
It seems odd that I have to create a series for each one and use a stack so that there aren't blank spaces for the other series in each bar. It would be easier for me, if I could create one series with a default color, and then have the data in the preloaded define the overridden color if needed.
If there is a better way to do this, please let me know, if not I will move on to my real question.
The plunker works and looks fine when in type columns, but not when I switch over to type line.
You can edit the variable at the top of the plunker to line and see that only the first color for "Person" is used. You can then change the stack to null and see the colors for the rest of the facets.
The line chart does not look like I would expect any more. Before when I was using one series and we only had one color, the line chart correctly looked like this:
instead of this:
You can see that instead of the line for person going down and connecting to sport at 10, all series taper off in a constant decline down to 0.
Looking for any help to correctly define our data (possibly without using multiple series), and correctly show the line chart with multiple colors.
Thanks in advance! Please let me know if anything was unclear and needs more explanation.
