Visual Bug

Hi,

My name is Daniel Wong, I work for Tyson Foods. We are using your visual ("Drill-Down Chart for Time-based") on our reports.

We got the last version of the visual, but we are experimenting some bugs.

This is the chart with a Date range:

If we select new Date range we want to see only the info for that dates, and the visual is showing blanks, "All data" changes to "Custom"

Also, if I remove the Date filter and try to see all the info, the visual doesn't get back all the way.

This is what we expect to see when we change dates, but we always need to change from "custom" to "All data", our initial display is in Auto.

Are we missing something?.

Hello.

In Power BI our charts interpret "All Data" differently than you might expect.

Consider this:

You have a date filter, that filters out range of data and that data is passed to ZoomCharts everytime you change that filter.
ZoomCharts receives this (already filtered) data from Power BI and considers this as "All data" as it can't actually know that there is more data. It's all that is passed from Power BI to ZoomCharts.

When you use ZoomCharts to zoom in or scroll, the "All data" is changed to "custom" and you shouldn't worry about that - it's normal approach. And when you switch back to "All data" it will show you all data that is currently available from Power BI. So if you want actually to display all data, then you have to also make sure that your date filter range is set accordingly.
